MESSENGER is the story of a mysterious old woman who delivers life-changing messages to seemingly random people all over New York City and Alana, a young journalist determined to uncover Messenger’s story. Who is this mysterious old woman? Why does she give people messages? How does she know what to put in the message? In the surprise ending, Alana discovers what their journey together is really all about and meanwhile there’s a love story brewing at Starbucks. (Ha-ha!) Author Liz Whitehurst emphasizes that everyone can be a messenger. We all have the ability to affect one another’s lives. And it will take all of us to create a swerve — make a change that goes against the tide. Most of all, random acts of kindness do add up. Follow this unlikely band of change agents. Liz will discuss the process of creating a book in podcast form and how dozens of people who’ve listened to Messenger contributed their own stories of life changing messages they’ve received.
